Mission
THE MISSION OF CIRCULO IS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES THROUGH A CONTINUUM OF EDUCATION, SOCIAL SERVICE, CULTURAL, RECREATIONAL, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL JUSTICE PROGRAMMING. WE PROVIDE A RANGE A SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS INCLUDING EDUCATION, HOUSING, YOUTH, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, HIV/AIDS, SERVICES AND RELATED PROGRAMMING INCLUDING A FOOD PANTRY.
Program accomplishments
- HOUSING: CIRCULO OPERATES A RANGE OF DIFFERENT HOUSING PROGRAMS INCLUDING PERMANENT AS WELL AS TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR VARIED POPULATIONS INCLUDING INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH DISABILITIES, MENTAL ILLNESS, HIV/AIDS, INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY VIOLENCE AND FORMERLY HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. SERVICES ARE FOR INDIVIDUALS AS WELL AS FAMILIES. THE PROGRAMS OPERATE TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS MAINTAIN THEIR HOUSING AND LIVE INDEPENDENTLY, BUILDING SELF-SUFFICIENCY. HOUSING IS PROVIDED IN SCATTERED SITE LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT NASSAU AND SUFFOLK COUNTIES.Expenses $1,658,859 · grants $19,600
- HIV/AIDS SERVICES CIRCULO OFFERS HIV/AIDS SERVICES INCLUDE TARGETED PREVENTION DESIGNED TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS INFECTED AND AFFECTED BY HIV AND AIDS. CIRCULO OFFERS OUTREACH, PREVENTION, EDUCATION, LINKAGE AND NAVIGATION, ADVOCACY AND REFERRAL ASSISTANCE. ADDITIONAL SERVICES INCLUDE A SUPPORT GROUP FOR INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS SERVICES ALSO INCLUDE TESTING FOR INDIVIDUALS AT-RISK AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES VIA METRO, TAXI AND GAS CARDS FOR INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS.
