THE RHODE ISLAND FREE CLINIC (RIFC) PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE AND HIGH-QUALITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO UNINSURED ADULTS RESIDING IN RHODE ISLAND. IT ALSO SERVES AS A TRAINING SITE FOR ASPIRING HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

- TRAINING - THE CLINIC IS THE NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND HEALTH EDUCATION CENTER (AHEC). THROUGH IT THE CLINIC COLLABORATED WITH 17 ACADEMIC AND TRAINING PARTNERS TO PROVIDE OVER 150 HEALTHCARE TRAINEES WITH FACULTY-SUPERVISED TRAINING. TRAINING INCLUDED SKILLS AND SITE-BASED EXPERIENCE IN OVER 12 DISCIPLINES.Expenses $1,608,869
- IN 2024 THE CLINIC MOBILIZED 403 VOLUNTEERS, COMMUNITY PARTNERS, INTERNS, RESIDENTS AND FELLOWS TO DELIVER COMPREHENSIVE HEALTHCARE. VOLUNTEERS INCLUDED DOCTORS, DENTISTS, NURSE PRACTITIONERS, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS, NURSES, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICIANS, PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, DIABETES EDUCATORS, LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS, MEDICAL ASSISTANTS, AND OTHERS.
