THE MISSION OF THE NORTHEAST ENERGY AND COMMERCE ASSOCIATION, NEW ENGLAND'S LARGEST NON-PROFIT COMPETITIVE POWER TRADE ASSOCIATION, IS TO PROMOTE A RELIABLE, ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE AND COST-EFFECTIVE REGIONAL POWER SUPPLY, INCLUDING INNOVATIVE DEMAND-SIDE INITIATIVES AND RENEWABLE ENERGY.

- TO PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND, RELIABLE AND COST-EFFECTIVE WHOLESALE AND RETAIL MARKETS FOR THE PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY OF ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY, AS WELL AS COMPETING ENERGY SERVICES AND RESOURCE ALTERNATIVES, INCLUDING CONSERVATION, INNOVATIVE DEMAND-SIDE AND POWER DELIVERY TECHNOLOGIES, RENEWABLE ENERGY AND DISTRIBUTED GENERATION. THROUGH ITS REGULAR SERIES OF MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, NECA SERVES AS A CLEARINGHOUSE OF CUTTING-EDGE INDUSTRY INFORMATION. THESE EVENTS INCLUDE DINNER MEETINGS DEVOTED TO A SINGLE TOPIC AND FOUR DAY-LONG MEETINGS EACH ADDRESSING AN ENERGY ISSUE: FUELS, POWER MARKETS, RENEWABLE ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
