Mission
Gateway Academy serves adolescents and young adults who have learning differences that impact social, academic, and critical thinking skills. We provide an environment that prepares students to enter the workplace and college settings with confidence, both socially and educationally. Our population of learning-differentiated students is encouraged to develop critical thinking, enhance personal appreciation, and foster a vision of their future self.
Program accomplishments
- Gateway's curriculum integrates academic achievement with the social and physical development of each student. Our students practice and apply social skills in real life situations each day. Our licensed counselor guides and encourages relationship-building in a safe environment. Our fitness program enables Gateway students to develop lifestyle patterns that will support their future learning and growth. Our employment skills program is pivotal for Gateway students to successfully transition out of high school and into the real world. Finally, we support our community through community service each month. The Young Adults Program offers post-high school services to former students.Expenses $4,107,503 · grants $315,370 · revenue $4,137,247
