Additional Information - The Encounter Worship Center Christian Academy, Inc. and The Encounter Worship Center, Inc. are separate tax-exempt organizations with separate finances and employer identification numbers. The Academy reported $250 received from the Church as contribution revenue and $23,635 paid to the Church as support of exempt religious activities. No other Church financial activity is included in the Academy's return. The organization's late filing resulted from a good-faith misunderstanding regarding the appropriate federal filing requirement during its early period of operation. After discovering the error, the organization promptly reconstructed its financial records, corrected the reporting classification, and prepared the required Form 990. The delay was not due to willful neglect, and procedures have been implemented to ensure timely future filings.
