Records are maintained in a computer database. Documentation of visual impairment is maintained in both scanned and paper records. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The Board of Directors is given a copy of the 990 and all financials for the year before it is filed and a vote is taken on its approval. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c There are reviews of compensation arrangements, sales and acquisitions, payments to third parties and reimbursements on a regular basis to confirm compliance with the policies. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 We collect compensation statistics on comparable nonprofit organizations in our area to benchmark pay, we also understand that the that the market for talent at both the general and executive levels may be broader than this group. Market from two additional market segments, private foundations and published not-for-profit compensation surveys may be used as supplements. In addition, BBI may collect other published survey data, when appropriate, for for-profit organizations for specific functional competencies. All of this data is used to form a market composite to access the competitiveness, fairness and appropriateness of compensation paid by BBI to its executives and other employees.
