Coaches assistance goes towards attendance to the National Clinic, where individual attendance is noted and recorded. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 1a The Executive Committee shall consist of the President, President-Elect, and Immediate Past President. The Executive Committee has authority to act on behalf of the Board of Directors between official meetings in all situations except those reserved to the board. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 There shall be three types of membership: Active, allied, life A. Active members: anyone actively coaching or directing high school athletics in South Dakota B. Allied members: anyone coaching or directing college and/or a K-8 athletics in South Dakota. (Allied members are not eligible to hold office.) C. Life members: any coach/Activities Director with 25 years of service in South Dakota is eligible for the 25-year service award. Association members, with a minimum of 25 years of service in South Dakota, shall receive a Lifetime Membership Card upon retirement from that active service. Active life-member coaches shall pay dues, and their dues shall be used for the S.D.H.S.C.A. scholarship activities.
