<Desc>Producing Unique New Creators program - skills development for early career producers from underrepresented and under served communities. This program provided direct hands-on training on actual productions intended for commercial audience, this year for 6 people. Of those, one went on to obtain an significant position at the major television show TMZ, another obtained award nomination for her film at the Austin Horror Film Festival, one has created a third season of a new unscripted show, and another was appointed to a senior support position in a nascent film studios. This is very, very high rate of success for a program that is run entirely on a volunteer and in-kind donation basis.</Desc>

<Desc>Virtual Theatrical (VT) Program - this is a new creator program that bridges the gap between traditional performance and storytelling, and modern, evolving technology. The VT program preserves the importance of theater and narrative expression, while it explores and encourages the expansion of these vital cultural arts into the environment of the new millennium. The VT program is aimed at identifying and empowering emerging talent from underrepresented groups and communities, whose voices are most often passed over, or who otherwise have no access to such experiences. VT has several projects at various stages of development which are designed to create new modes of expression among live audiences, and for wider media expression. VT has the support of established writers and directors who wish to mentor the next generation of voices, and who value the diversity of thought that original, human-centered storytelling can foster across society. At this time VT is entirely volunteer supported. In 2025, VT has successfully developed three projects, all ready for production in 2026. Development is a demanding process of script development and technical design. In 2026, the VT program will be able to expand into production and performance.</Desc>

<ExplanationTxt>2025 created and began work on two programs which are focused on culture and arts education, and empowering diverse and underrepresented voices in those areas. These are as follows: (4a) Producing Unique New Creators (PUNC) program - PUNC is a skills development for early career producers from underrepresented and under served communities. This is very, very high rate of success for a program that is run entirely on a volunteer and in-kind donation basis. (4.b) Virtual Theatrical (VT) Program - this is a new creator program that bridges the gap between traditional performance and storytelling, and modern, evolving technology. In 2026, the VT program will be able to expand into production and performance. RE: PART VI, 11b - Review of form 990 - the return and supporting documentation are reviewed by all members of the governing body, in process and at the end prior to filing. All such members have access to the financial and other accounting data and records of the organization, and the form is approved by all members. RE PART VI, 12a, 12b 12c - All governing members are required to disclose actual and potential conflicts of interest as they arise. This is an ongoing responsibility. The members are actively knowledgeable about each other's professional activities and potential for conflicts of interest are discussed among them regularly as part of the standard meeting agendas. RE: PART VI, 19 - Governing documents are available through the official organization website and through the website of the Independent Producers Guild, as well as being available on request through the office of the organization listed on the website. IMPACT OF SSI SERVICES: Our total combined impact for 2025 is $$341,898.92. though the programs are small we are already making a measurable impact. 2025 was an important year for SSI. We are NOT well funded - in fact not funded at all, as reflected in our 2025 tax return. However, SSI is well supported by in-kind donations of services and volunteer hours. Detailed breakdown of in-kind donations of services is available on request. However, here are the basic numbers: During the current tax year, SSI received the following support: Cash Donations: $1,300.00 Donated Facilities & Equipment: $189,227.00 Professional Services (Website Design, Legal, Technical): $6,000.00 (120 Hours) General Volunteer Support: $145,371.92 (3066 ) Total Value of In-kind impact and cash support: $341,898.92. The valuation of volunteer and professional hours is based on the "independent sector national hourly rate." The value of donated services, facilities, and goods is valued based on the average rate for those commercially provided services in the open market. Detailed</ExplanationTxt>
