The church operates under a pastor-led model of governance in which the Pastoral Leadership Team serves as the Board of Directors and provides spiritual guidance and oversight for the organization. In accordance with the churchs bylaws, the Lead Pastor and Pastoral Leadership Team are delegated broad authority to oversee the spiritual, administrative, and operational affairs of the local church. Pastors provide primary leadership and decision-making authority, while Elders, Deacons, and other leaders assist in governance, ministry oversight, and the execution of the churchs mission. Part VI, Line 2 Certain members of the governing body or leadership may have familial relationships as part of the churchs pastoral or ministry leadership structure. Any such relationships are disclosed to the governing body and managed in accordance with the churchs conflict of interest policy to ensure transparency and proper governance. Part VI, Line 11b Prior to filing, a complete copy of Form 990 is prepared using the churchs financial records maintained by the Treasurer or designated financial officer. The completed return is then provided to the Lead Pastor and members of the Pastoral Leadership Team for review. Part VI, Line 12c New Way Church maintains a conflict of interest policy applicable to members of the governing body and key leadership. Part VI, Line 15a Compensation for church staff is determined based on the responsibilities of the role and the financial resources of the church. Compensation decisions are reviewed by church leadership, including the Lead Pastor and appropriate governing bodies such as the Council of Overseers where applicable.
