Through meaningful connections, education, and outreach, we offer a wide range of support including scholarships, workshops, hands-on therapeutic activities, recreational opportunities, outdoor adventures, and volunteer programs. Our mission is to ensure those who serve or face unique challenges receive the care, support, and sense of community they deserve to thrive. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The Guardian Foundation maintains local chapters, affiliates, and program branches operating under its mission to honor and serve Veterans, Active-Duty Military, First Responders, Challenged Youth and our rural communities through suicide prevention, peer support, training, and community outreach. Our organization has adopted written policies and procedures governing the activities of all chapters and affiliates to ensure alignment with its tax-exempt purposes under Section 501(c)(3). These policies include standardized program implementation guidelines, branding and communications protocols, financial management requirements, grant compliance procedures, data reporting standards, and adherence to ethical conduct and conflict-of-interest policies. Chapters operate under formal affiliation agreements requiring compliance with the Foundation's bylaws, mission statement, and evidence-informed program models (including suicide prevention training, peer support initiatives, and community outreach activities). Each chapter provides regular activity (data reports) and financial reports (if applicable) to the central governing body. The Executive Director and Board of Directors conduct periodic reviews, require outcome reporting, and provide technical assistance to ensure consistency, accountability, and program fidelity across all locations.
