We rent our theatre out to several local companies (which can't afford a full year's lease or to purchase their own space) two or three months of the a year. We produce five plays a year, each carefully curated to be both challenging and entertaining to our audiences. Expenses are typical in that they include lease, utilities, marketing, staffing, insurance, the cost of each of the five shows produced for both local and visiting audience members. Lease payments are due regardless of renting. Our utility bills are lumped together by our lessor. Insurance is due and paid bi-annually, regardless. The income in 2025 was $16,925 from renters, which included prepayments for $5,500 towards a February/March rental for 2026. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The completed taxes are made available for any and all board members who wish to review them. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12a Conflict of interest forms are presented to board members yearly for review and signature. At present no disclosures have been made and no appearance of impropriety evident. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 A subcommittee of the board was convened for this purpose, with an understanding that the typical pay for these positions was (and is) far beyond the reach of the current budget. Thus, the directors are contract staff working part time. Pay in 2025 ranged from $10,000 - $20,000/year. The intention to raise pay over time was declared to the full board and to contractors. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 There were no requests for governing documents, conflict of interest policy or financial statements during 2025. Form 990, Part VII, Section B, Line 2 As stated above, pay in 2025 for the managing team ranged from $10,000 - $20,000/year. Form 990, Part VIII, Line 2a - 2e Program revenue of $133,625 is the income from the sale of tickets to all performances. Form 990, Part X, Line 2 Previous filers did not note an account that is an endowment account, set aside for long-term protection of the business. The reason it was not initially filed is that the account was opened by the founder of our theater and in his name. The account is now in the name of the Actors Lab. Likewise, he took out two low interest loans from the SBA and New Mexico Finance Authority, putting that money into the endowment account. Form 990, Part X, Line 23 The current balance of the loans combined is $60,000, and the Actors Lab now responsible for repayment of both. Monthly payments are indicated in Part IX.
