In 2025, GPER served more than 1,500 parents and caregivers through global support programs. The organization authored or contributed to six peer-reviewed research publications and produced 14 science-based podcast episodes with more than 43,000 downloads.GPER continued development of ECZHALE: The Eczema Wellness Hub, a digital resource providing caregivers with 23+ evidence-based tools and mental health coping strategies. The organization also developed and distributed over 500 eczema education coloring books across three continents, 12 U.S. states, and 23 physician offices.GPER funded four research grants totaling $100,000 and hosted the 4th Annual Childhood Eczema Prevention Research Symposium, "Predicting and Stopping Eczema in Early Life," in Santa Barbara, CA. This initiative aligns with GPER's mission to reduce the global burden of eczema by supporting high-quality, patient-centered clinical and translational research. For the 2025 funding cycle, GPER awarded up to two one-year grants of up to $50,000 each to eligible Principal Investigators at various career stages, including PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, fellows, and faculty. Funded projects focus on primary and secondary prevention strategies for AD, including gut microbiome modulation, early topical therapy, and patient-centered prevention research. Grantees are required to submit two progress reports during the grant period: Mid-Term Report Due approximately six months after the project start date, this report details research progress, preliminary findings, and budget expenditures to date. Final Report Due at the conclusion of the funding period (or upon project completion), this report includes a summary of research findings, project outcomes, and plans for future dissemination or application of results, including publication in peer-reviewed journals.
