Our central program is Broadway Bound Theatre Festival where we produce plays and musicals. We solicit plays from across the country and read submissions from hundreds of applicants each year. After a vigorous curation and critiquing of their work, we accept 15 plays and musicals to be performed in NYC during the summer months. After acceptance, the playwrights work one-on-one with our Festival Director for four months--focusing on all aspects of play development via weekly dramaturgical sessions, pre-production technical meetings, workshops on casting and budget creation, to name a few. We also cover all infrastructure costs and Front of House services, including licensing the theatre, operating the box office and ticketing service, marketing, press relations, technical equipment rental, installation and operation (both sound and lighting) and all aspects of theatre production. The number of persons benefited from our service range upwards of 150 people to 1000, depending on the size of the production. These include: actors, directors, musicians, stage managers, stage hands, costumers, designers, theatre technicians, etc. We also have an outreach between 3,000 and 5,000 audience members per season. Our other program is providing year-round play critiquing, script development and dramaturgy. This service is provided as a referral service, where we connect interested playwrights with dramaturges via our website.
