Had any issues arisen, a committee made up of disinterest board members would have been appointed by the board chair to evaluate the circumstances and alternatives and determine the best course of action to ensure the organization's interests are adequately protected. Compensation packages for the executive director and other officers were established after reviewing comparable data for similar employee positiions at other nonprofits in Colorado, as well as the specific responsibilities, qualifications, and the time requirements of each position. Related discussion and approval was recorded in the board meeting minutes. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The organization's application for tax exemption and annual information returns are available for public inspections at the organizations' principal office during regular business hours or provided upon request. The return is supposed to be filed under extension. It is extended each year until the review by the independent accountant is complete so that any adjustments needed can be included on the return. For the current fiscal year, there was a miscommunication and the extension was not filed on time. When the error was discovered, an attempt was made to file the extension, but it was rejected because of the date.
