Additionally, the school's website states this policy. In general, communications to the public and material distributed to the public state the school's nondiscriminatory policy. Schedule E, Part I, Line 6 From time to time, the school receives State of Arizona grants related to its preschool educational program. TJ Walp Spouse of Administrator 14000 P-T staff approved by the Board 0 Schedule L, Part I, Line 1 TJ Walp serves the school as a financial assistant to parents of students who need assistance in applying for scholarships. The position was created in 2023 to provide relief to the Finance Coordinator who filed that role in the past. With enrollment ranging from 120 to 180, the position was clearly needed. The Board of Directors analyzed the need for the position and the appropriate level of compensation for this part-time position. The hiring was approved by the Board. The Administrator is a non-voting board member. TJ Walp reports to the Dean of Students rather than to the Administrator. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 4 In May 2025 the Board of Directors amended its bylaws. The amendments had no effect on the organization's exempt purpose, but was for the purpose of helping the Board conduct its function as the governing body. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The president of the Board, as of June 30, 2025, (a retired CPA) prepares the Form 990. A draft of the return is provided to each director, the school Administrator and the Finance Coordinator of the school via email for their review prior to filing the return with the IRS. All comments from those mentioned are taken into account prior to filing the return. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Annually all directors and the school Administrator sign off in writing on a Conflicts of Interest policy statement confirming they are in compliance with the school's written policy. The policy addresses conflicts according to "best practices" of nonprofit organizations. New directors are oriented to understand possible conflict issues, and are required to confirm in writing they have no conflicts of interest. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The school Administrator is the Chief Executive Officer. The Administrator reports to the Board of Directors. The Board annually evaluates the Administrator's performance. Adjustment to the Administrator's compensation is based on the evaluation and contemporaneous comparable salary levels in the market place. The process is conducted by researching the market, considering other relevant factors, and the full board being involved in the compensation decision each year. The Administrator performs annual evaluations of each staff person. Each staff person's compensation is based on their evaluation, comparable salary levels and other factors. In May or June of each year, the Administrator and the Treasurer of the Board submit a budget to the Board for approval. The budget includes staff compensation information. If a request is made for the documents mentioned in Line 19, copies of such documents are provided.
