A portion of the sale proceeds, 835,747 dollars, was held in escrow pending resolution of post-closing conditions and was released to the organization in September 2024. Form 990, Part XI, Line 8 Prior period adjustments of negative 362,311: beginning net assets reported on the prior-year return (4,991,696) exceeded the organization's corrected books at June 30, 2024 (4,629,385). During fiscal 2025 the organization brought its bookkeeping in-house and corrected the prior-year ledger, including removal of duplicated bank-feed and invoice entries, recording of fiscal 2024 depreciation (110,844) that had not been booked, removal of receivables that were not supported, and adjustment of investment balances to custodian statements. The adjustment restates beginning net assets to the corrected books and does not reflect current-year activity. On the Boards' Form 990 for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025 was due, after extension, on May 15, 2026. The organization had relied on its former outside accounting firm for the preparation and filing status of the return, and that firm miscommunicated the status of the filing to the organization. Management learned only after the extended due date that the return had not been filed. Upon discovering this, the organization brought preparation of the return in-house and filed it as promptly as possible. The organization has since assigned internal responsibility and a filing calendar for the Form 990 to ensure timely filing in future years. The organization respectfully requests that any penalty for late filing be abated for reasonable cause.
