Request for Penalty Waiver - Late Filing of Form 990 Dear IRS, A's & Aces is a small nonprofit with a good record of timely filing and full tax compliance. We have never owed money to the IRS, and that remains true today. The late filing this year was due to unforeseen personal circumstances that affected our organization's primary administrative officer during the critical filing window. Our organization operates with very limited administrative capacity, and when a personal family emergency arose at the time the extension deadline required attention, the deadline was inadvertently missed. We are submitting our complete Form 990 and respectfully request that any late-filing penalty be waived based on reasonable cause. This was an isolated incident, and we are confident it will not recur. We appreciate your understanding and are available to provide any additional information upon request. Thank you for your time.
