The delay in filing was due to the unexpected passing of our primary accountant, who was solely responsible for maintaining and managing all financial records. This unforeseen loss created significant difficulty in locating and reconstructing accurate financial information required for timely filing. Additionally, previous board members were not fully aware of the rules and penalties associated with late filings, as these responsibilities were handled exclusively by the accountant. As a result, the organization was not made aware of the missed filing deadline until after it had passed. Since then, new board leadership has taken steps to ensure full compliance moving forward. We are committed to maintaining eligibility for grant funding, strengthening our financial oversight, and conducting an independent audit. Filing for the 2024 fiscal year is in the best interest of the organization and its stakeholders. We would also like to note that Youth Style Fitness has remained compliant with all filing requirements since 2021, and this is our first occurrence of a late filing. We respectfully request that this be considered a one-time exception, and we anticipate this will be our only request for penalty abatement. Given these extraordinary circumstances, we kindly ask that the penalty be waived. Thank you for your time and consideration.
