For God and Country we advocate for veterans educate our citizens mentor youth and promote patriotism good citizenship peace and security. In August 2024 the Auxiliary held an ice cream social that was open to Auxiliary Legion members and the General Public. In addition to the ice cream and food a DJ provided music a face painter and balloon artist and bounce house were there for the children 0 3989 To promote Americanism the Auxiliary sponsored an essay contest with a local elementary school. Members of the Auxiliarys Essay Committee reviewed and decided the winners in each grade level. $ prizes were awarded. In addition the winners were presented a certificate by the VP of the Auxiliary. 0 385 During National Poppy Day weekend members go to local businesses to pass out poppies to members of the Community. Community Members may make a donation to the Auxiliary if they choose to do so.
