SUPPORT GRANTEES AND OTHER CONGREGATIONS TO INSTALL GRANT-FUNDED SOLAR PANELS / ENERGY CONSERVATION AND TO DEEPLY REDUCE ENERGY USE IN HOUSES OF WORSHIP AND MEMBERS' HOMES: OBJECTIVES: Oversee grant-funded energy conservation measures and solar installations. Develop and provide tools, resources, and technical and peer support to evangelical churches and synagogues to motivate and equip them to undertake deep energy conservation and to switch to renewables in their houses of worship and members' homes. ACTIVITIES: Continued to refine monthly training program to support 12 monthly actions sheets the 33 most impactful measures a household can take to reduce its energy footprint - with a combined impact of an approximately 30% to 50% reduction. 0 0 0 3. PROMOTE, ORGANIZE AND CONDUCT WORKSHOPS / SECURE MEDIA COVERAGE. Objective: Through workshops and media coverage, motivate many other congregations to follow the lead of the grantees and other congregations that have modeled deep energy conservation and renewable energy. Our financial expenses this year have been minimal (under $1000) and completely predictable ($75 now $85 monthly online QuickBooks accounting fee and $22 bi-annual state registration fee only). Therefore, our Form 990 is simply reviewed in detail by our board president and executive director. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c To be clear, because the only financial expenses have been automated monthly fees to QuickBooks for online accounting and $23 in State of Indiana biannual fees, there is no possibility of conflicts of interest at this time. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 We answered "yes" only so that we can explain here that no one receives any compensation from Creation Care Partners. Therefore, there is no need for research in order to set compensation levels. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 All these documents have been available by request made by phone, email, mail or in person. Form 990, Part XI, Line 9 The initial balance for the year is off by $.73, which rounds up to $1 and makes us off by $1. This seems to happen each year and, after much work, I've not been unable to find the source of the problem other than perhaps a rounding error. This filing is late. As the volunteer executive director, I am responsible for all aspects of our accounting and administration as well as program. I was unable to complete this on time. The funds to pay this late fee are paid out of my pocket. We would appreciate your being easy on us.
