<Desc>Direct Grants to Aligned Charitable Organizations: In 2025, The Navillus Foundation began making direct grants to other Section 501(c)(3) public charities whose missions align with our own. We made a $50,000 grant to The Morrison Legacy Foundation, Inc. to support the preservation, documentation, and celebration of the 30-year history and impact of the Morrison and Donnelly Visa Programs, which enabled tens of thousands of Irish citizens to live, work, and build new lives in the United States. We also made a $2,500 grant to Solace House, Inc. to support its suicide prevention and bereavement counseling services in the New York community. Through these partnerships we are able to extend our reach and support organizations doing critical work with the populations we serve.</Desc>

<Desc>Navillus Higher Education Scholarship Program: 2025 marked the launch of our scholarship program, which we intend to continue annually. We awarded six scholarships of $6,000 each to students under 25 years old who are pursuing higher education. Recipients were selected based on applications consisting of personal statements and letters of reference. By easing the financial burden of college, we aim to help these students achieve their full potential and build a foundation for lasting success.</Desc>

<Desc>Operation Santa / Winter Wishes: The Navillus Foundation partnered with New York Cares' Winter Wishes campaign to make the holiday season special for children from less fortunate backgrounds. Our $6,000 contribution helped ensure that children across New York City public schools received a gift from Santa even when their families could not afford one. The Company provided over 100 gifts to children in NYC public schools and housing shelters.</Desc>

        <FormAndLineReferenceDesc>Schedule I, Part I, Line 2</FormAndLineReferenceDesc>
<ExplanationTxt>Prior to making a grant to an organization, the Foundation's directors confirm that the recipient is a recognized Section 501(c)(3) public charity and review the organization's mission and programs to confirm alignment with the Foundation's charitable purposes. Grants are made for general charitable purposes or for a specific program identified at the time of the grant. The Foundation retains documentation of each grant, including the grant payment record and the grantee's written acknowledgment. For the Higher Education Scholarship Program, each recipient is notified by award letter and must sign a Scholarship Award Agreement before funds are disbursed. The agreement restricts use of the funds to tuition, fees, books, and other qualified educational expenses at an accredited college or university; requires the recipient to retain receipts or proof of payment for all expenditures, which the Foundation may request for verification; requires the return of any unused or misapplied funds, including if the recipient withdraws before completing the academic term; and reserves the Foundation's right to revoke the award for noncompliance. Awards are paid by check directly to the recipient. The Foundation retains each signed agreement, the award letter, and the payment record.</ExplanationTxt>
