General explanation attachment Form 990, Page 2,Part III, Line 4a) In our workers rights and corporate accountability work, we continued to anchor the Worker-driven Social Responsibility Network (WSRN). Through this work, we support worker centers in the U.S. agricultural and construction industries to develop binding, enforceable agreements for workplace safety. We are also a key member of the transnational #PayYourWorkers campaign to secure back pay and severance for workers laid off during the COVID pandemic. In Minneapolis, we supported our partner Centro de Trabajadores Unidos en la Lucha (CTUL) in engaging their first two non-profit construction developers to join the Building Dignity & Respect (BDR) program, a worker-driven responsibility program to hold developers accountable for the rights of non-union construction workers.Transnationally, we ran a successful campaign on Lucky Brand, a private equity-owned fashion brand that had refused to address substantial wage theft from Guatemalan garment workers in its supply chain, winning an agreement from the brand to pay workers in Guatemala $500,000 in severance and terminal benefits. We also produced the report, Checking Boxes, Cheating Workers: How Social Audit Firms are Complicit in Labor Rights Abuses, examining the role of private social auditing firms in delaying access to remedy for workers and obscuring corporate responsibility, including case studies on the supply chains of Nike, Amazon, Adidas, and Tesco.In our education work, we continue to anchor the Dignity in Schools Campaign (DSC), a coalition with members across more than 20 states working to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline. DSC released two resources to support community organizers around the country: A Pushout Assessment Checklist & Campaign Development Guide, and the report, Building Narrative Power: Lessons on Storytelling for Education Justice. DSC also facilitated southern regional collaboration among organizations across Mississippi, North Carolina, Louisiana and Texas, supporting an event in Houston during our October 2024 Week of Action and a convening in New Orleans in August 2025. In our DSC-NY chapter, the coalition organized students, parents, teachers and advocates to protect critical funding for and implementation of restorative justice, social workers and mental health services in public schools.
