Each meeting commences with a "discovery" process to identify any potential conflicts of interest that may arise during the course of the meeting. If a conflict is identified, it is handled appropriately per the Organization's written policy. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15 The Executive Director Review Committee reviews performance of the individual, considers national salary survey data for land conservancies of similar size/work across the country (the Land Trust Alliance compiles this data for land trusts every few years), and current cost-of-living adjustments (according to social security administration), their conclusions on continued employment and compensation package are presented to the full Board of Directors at the fall meeting, the results are then given to the finance committee to include in the annual budget prepared for the December meeting where it is adopted by the full Board.
