Purchases are made for them such as gas, rent or PUD payment Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a All active members of the non-profit organization are authorized to vote by secret ballot for the organization's president, who may, if re-elected serve a total of two three year terms. The president then appoints the vice president, secretary and treasurer. All members are volunteers and do not receive any compensation for their work, no do they pay dues. All decisions are made by consensus with the members of the organization. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b All decisions affecting the organization are presented by the governing body to the membership for consideration and discussion without any undue influence by the governing body. Final decisions are made by consensus with the members of the organization. There is no veto power by any member of the governing body. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The form 990 is prepared by the organization's treasueee with assistance from the president. Once the draft is completed, it is presented at a meeting for review and approval by members. Once approved by the members it is submitted by the organization's treasurer. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 If information is requested, the treasurer would send the document to the requestor. It can also be found online at the 990 website. This filling is late due to what I would call a computer glitch. I finished the report in January and thought I had completed all that was necessary to have it filed electronically. Apparently I did not and didn't realize this until I went into the program at the end of June. We are a small all volunteer charitable organization helping people with foods, rents and utilities. Any money needed to pay a fine would greatly hinder our ability to help.
