Each organization has a unique mission and approach to providing essential services and support to women and children in crisis. In fiscal year 2025, no individual grant was more than $5,000. The JLNV contracts with an independent accounting firm to complete the IRS form 990 and financial statement review. Once this independent accounting firm completes a draft of these financial documents, the finance council reviews the documents and provides any necessary edits. The final version of the documents are shared with the board of directors and posted on JLNV's intranet for the membership to view. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c 1. Before the league enters into an agreement or arrangement with a league member or her relatives, the council shall seek competitive bids. 2. Communications and contracts relating to league business with members of the community advisory board shall be cleared through the president. 3. The league shall regularly employ no league member, unless special exceptions are granted and approved by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the board of directors. 4. In the event of any vote by a subcommittee, committee, council, or the board of directors in which one of the members has an outside relationship regarding issues being voted upon, that member will excuse herself from final discussion and voting. 5. All JLNV members are prohibited from using their official positions or affiliation with the JLNV for the financial benefit of other organizations and projects.
