During the filing period the organization experienced sudden leadership turnover when the Executive Director departed requiring a prolonged transition to onboard a successor. Concurrently we established a brand-new internal role Finance Director to restructure financial management. Compounding these internal transitions our external CPA unexpectedly terminated services. Faced with the sudden loss of external support the organization decided to transition all tax compliance operations entirely in-house. Reclaiming historical records setting up internal protocols and training the new team required significant time to ensure the returns integrity. The organization acted with ordinary business care and prudence and internal controls are now fully in place to ensure all future returns are filed timely.
