ASTAs mission is to inspire, engage and support science teachers in preparing STEM learners for success. ASTA Board of Directors consists of 12 regional directors and 6 officers that support teachers all across the state, all of whom are volunteers working with a part-time executive director (contracted consultant). ASTA provides professional learning workshops, conferences, summits and an annual symposium around the state for teachers of science. These professional learning Moreover, ASTA is a community of learners that supports teachers in preparing scientifically literate citizens. ASTA provided ambassador led PD workshops throught the state which focused on the AZ Science Standards.
