Accordingly, no provision for income tax has been provided. When applicable, the organization may be subject to an Unrelated Business Income Tax for income derived from any non-exempt activity. Unrelated Business Income is defined as the gross income derived from any trade or business regularly conducted and not substantially related to the organization's exempt purpose or function. During 2025 and 2024, AHRS had no such income. The AHRS believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements that require recognition or disclosure in the financial statements. The AHRS is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress. The only tax years subject to tax examination are for those years within the statutory limits. 1 Mentorship grant award 7 12500 Alopecia Summit Travel Grants 24 24650 Part I, Line 2: For the Mentorship Grant Program, both the Applicant and Mentor must be a member of the AHRS. The mentorship grants are awarded to young physicians, veterinarians, and scientists to develop a mentoring relationship with an established hair researcher and to acquire additional academic or research skills. The grants are intended to be used only for travel and lodging, as needed to establish a mentoring relationship. A Post-Mentorship written report must be submitted summarizing the experience learned after the mentorship has been completed. Technical Registration Experts provide registration and bookkeeping services to the Organization.
