Part IV, Section D, Line 1: The Trust ensures that it annually provides the required information to the Town of Milton as required by the final regulations for Type III supporting organization status. However, the Trust is unable to provide the required information by the last day of the fifth month of the Trust's tax year because not all the information is available by this date. The Trust does provide the information as soon as it is available on an annual basis, to the extent not previously provided. Part IV, Section D, Line 2: The Trust has been in existence since 1904 and since then has worked closely with the Town of Milton to operate a park for the benefit of the residents of the Town. Although from time-to-time representatives of the Trust have served in leadership roles with the Town, the Trust relies upon its historic and continuing relationship with the Town of Milton as the basis for establishing that the Trust is responsive to the needs of the Town. As part of this ongoing relationship, the Town provides services to the park, in coordination with representatives of the Trust and the Foundation, without charge, and the Park Director is in regular communication with various Town officials. Part IV, Section D, Line 3: As described above in response to Line 2, the Trust's historic and continuing relationship with the Town of Milton demonstrates both the Trust's responsiveness to the needs of the Town of Milton and the significant voice the Town has with respect to the Trust. Part IV, Section E, Line 1c: The Trust supports the Town of Milton by providing financial support to the Foundation for the operation of a playground, park, swimming pool, and recreational areas for the benefit of the residents of Milton, MA. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The Trustees reviewed the draft of the completed Form 990 to ensure the Form 990 was complete and accurate and then authorized the filing of the return. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c The Trust has a comprehensive compliance program which is monitored by the Trustees. The nature of the potential or actual conflict determines the level(s) at which a determination of potential conflict may exist. An individual involved with a potential conflict is prohibited from being in attendance at any meetings at which the matter is discussed. All Trustees are required to annually review, complete and certify compliance with the Trust's Conflict of Interest Policy. The Trust's policy provides for exceptions if disclosed promptly and approved by the appropriate level of management.
