<Desc>The primary program of Sowers4Pastors is outreach ministry furthering the Gospel message while providing benevolent support and assistance to those in need primarily in western Honduras. Resources are provided to Honduran pastors, Honduran missionaries, Honduran evangelists, Honduran families, and Honduran children. Assistance includes Bible training, feeding centers, and collecting and distributing backpacks, school supplies, school shoes and other needs to assist children getting an education. In 2023, 5,500 backpacks full of school supplies and 4,000 pairs of shoes were collected and distributed. As many children in western Honduras do not attend school specifically because their families are unable to purchase the required school supplies, this project empowers the children to get an education. Additionally, the organization facilitates 80 feeding programs, feeding 8,000 children twice per week. We also facilitate a pastor training school, which 50 pastors attended during 2023. A total of 90 were also trained as Sunday School teachers. Sowers4Pastors has been funded under the umbrella of other nonprofit organizations since 2001. As the ministry grew, it became necessary for Sowers4Pastors, Inc. to incorporate in 2017 and work independently as its own 501c3 which was approved by the IRS in 2018. Since 2001, the ministry has helped distribute over 56,000 Bibles and other Bible study materials, has facilitated 125 pastors graduating from a 3 year pastor training program, distributed approximately 4,400 pastor appreciation gifts, provided approximately 19.6 million meals in our nutrition deficiency feeding programs, facilitated the availability of over $240,000 worth of medical and dental aid and hosted over 200 visiting teams doing community service/medical/educational, construction, etc.</Desc>

<Desc>Construction projects - To further the primary mission, the organization assists local villages with church construction. The assistance is primarily with roofing materials after church walls are already built by the local villages themselves. In 2023, Sowers4Pastors helped 18 churches with their construction projects. Since 2001, the ministry has been involved with the construction of 218 churches, 32 bridges, 18 schools, 120 new houses, as well as assisting with renovations and repairs of 125 houses damaged by hurricanes or poorly constructed due to poverty, and more than 25 community water and municipal projects.</Desc>

<Desc>Transportation - To further the primary mission, the organization assists local Honduran pastors in purchasing a motorcycle, horse or mule requiring that they at least pay a portion themselves. Motorcycles, horses and mules assist the pastors that often have several congregations in different villages. In 2023, Sowers4Pastors helped pastors purchase over 35 motorcycles. Since 2006, 435 pastors have been assisted with motorcycles and 70 pastors with horses or mules.</Desc>

<ExplanationTxt>The organization networks with the Honduran communities to identify potential recipient groups and individuals for the charitable giving programs. Most expenditures go directly to purchase the needs of individuals that meet the fulfillment of the mission and then the goods or service are distributed. Money is not given to the individuals. Individuals rarely receive significant amounts (most worth under $1,000) except for roofing materials purchased for the completion of roofs on churches. Examples of things distributed include food, motorcycles (so pastors can reach their congregations in the rough terrain), roofing materials, school supplies, used clothing, scholarships, medical supplies and toiletries. These individuals consist of children in impoverished villages and pastors or missionaries in good standing with their denominations. Food is distributed by pastors that provide information on a regular basis on their use of the food. Pastors are allowed to purchased items and then be reimbursed with proper documentation. Most are known personally by the missionaries participating in managing the organization. All is overseen by the managing missionaries with occasional visits from various Board members.</ExplanationTxt>
