We attracted more than 200 attendees. Part III response or note to any other line in Part III ACCOMPLISHEMNTS: Cooling Thurston - We gave away 51 portable heat pumps to renters at high risk for suffering heat illness. We also provided education on the dangers of extreme heat and taught vulnerable populations about the symptoms of heat illness and how to protect themselves. Climate Convention - We had a one-day climate convention featuring 16 sessions, lunch, and two keynote speakers. We attracted more than 200 attendees. Amplify Community Voices - Ran 5 community assemblies throughout Thurston County to ensure people from overburdened communities had a voice in the comprehensive planning Process. Did advocacy and education work in Thurston County to educate public officials and the public about climate change and the need to reach the goals of the Thurson Climate Mitigation Plan.
