Pt VI, Line 6 The organization has members. Any person may be a county Farm Bureau member. All county Farm Bureau members have voting rights and the same access to member benefits. Other Part III, Line 4c - Promotion - The organization is very active in developing and maintaining strong relationships throughout the community to help bridge rural and urban understanding. The organization hosts a bi-annual Farm-to-Table Dinner featuring local farmers, producers, and locally sourced foods, helping consumers connect directly with those who produce their food. An annual county-wide cookout contest is held to promote real meat and protein products while celebrating local agriculture. Social media platforms are used regularly to promote agricultural facts, Ag in the Classroom activities, member benefits, scholarships, events, and policy engagement opportunities. The organization also makes an annual donation to a local food pantry to support food security efforts within the county. The oganization employs an Ag in the Classroom (AITC) Coordinator who is very active in schools throughout Warren County. Teachers are provided with a menu of available programs, lessons, resources, and hands-on activities aligned with Iowa Core Standards. Teachers select opportunities that best fit their curriculum needs. Regular emails are sent to educators highlighting seasonal lessons, classroom materials, book resources, and volunteer opportunities. Throughout the year, the coordinator delivers in-person agricultural literacy programming to students across the county, covering topics such as soil health, plant science, livestock production, conservation practices, food systems, and agricultural careers.
