Heather Checky, the Organization's Executive Director, did not become aware that the 2024 Form 990-EZ had not been filed until August 2026, while preparing the Organization's current-year filing. Upon discovering the omission, Heather Checky promptly took over the Organization's financial recordkeeping and filing responsibilities, reconstructed the year's financial records from bank statements, and is filing the delinquent return without further delay. The failure to file timely was not due to willful neglect but resulted from reasonable reliance on an officer entrusted with this responsibility, and the Organization acted with ordinary business care and prudence both in that reliance and in promptly correcting the matter once the issue was discovered.
