The organization maintains local Honduran staff who manage day-to-day implementation, financial tracking and reporting. U.S.-based management conducts regular review of financial statements, receipts, and program reports to ensure grant funds are used for their intended purposes. Site visits are conducted at project locations to verify expenditures and outcomes. All funds are tracked through detailed budgets, bank records, and internal controls that comply with U.S. non-profit standards. Any partner collaborations require written agreemtns specificying allowable uses, deliverables, and reporting expectations. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b 990 is based on board approved financial statements for 2025. The Finance Committee together made final calculations based on Quickbook and manual reviews before submission. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c We annual review as a board our conflict of interest policy and are required to disclose any conflicts in written statements. The Executive Director recuses herself from various voting procedures when it involved personal salary changes and performance reviews. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The Executive Director's work is reviewed annual by the Board of Directors and then any proposed salary increases are based on work performance and comparison salaries of other non-profit EDs working in Central America. Salary increases are recommended to the board through the Executive Committee and votes on by all board members annually in alignment and feasibility with the annual budget.
