Referrals come from animal control law enforcement veterinarians recues and private owners. Each horse receives a health and behavioural assessment followed by veterinary exams vaccinations dental and farrier care nutrition plans and rehabilitation tailored to its needs. Horses that cannot be safely adopted remain in permanent sanctuary where they receive ongoing medical care, applicants are screened through an application, reference checks, and a property review. Adoption contracts require safe lifelong care and return of the horses if needed. We maintain detailed care records and follow recognized humane equine care standards. Daily operations are carried out by staff and volunteers with licensed veterinarians and farriers providing professional services.
