If the customer leaves Jones Water Supply with an unpaid water bill this membership is used to pay the customers bill. If the customer leaves Jones Water Supply Corp with all water charges paid the Stock Membership is refunded. Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a The member (stockholder) may attend the monthly open meetings of the Board of Directors. The member is allowed to ask questions and voice concerns or complaints. The Organization holds an annual (stockholders) members meeting at which time the Board of Directors is elected. This election allows any and all members to participate in the election of the Corporations management. Governing body decisions Part VI line 7b The Corporation holds an annual meeting a which time the members vote on the approval/rejection of the decisions made by the Board of Directors. If the decisions made by the Board are not in agreement with the needs and wishes of the membership they may elect new Board members. Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 The Board of Directors hold monthly meetings to discus the actions of the Manager and hear any concerns or ask about future plans of the Corporation. These monthly meetings allow the the Board and membership to maintain constant oversight and the Form 990 being reviewed and approved is a continuation of the oversight of the Board. No review was conducted or will be conducted. Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12c Jones Water Supply Corp serves a small geographical area and the Corps employees, management and directors are aware of the conflict of interest policies and the consequences and penalties of not following these rules. Any noncompliance with these policies are quickly brought to the attention of the Board of Directors. CEO executive director top management comp Part VI line 15a The Jones Water Supply Corporation has been a very successful business. The purpose of the Corporation is not to show a profit but to provide quality service and product at a reasonable price. The Corporation has been under the guidance of the same manager for many years and the compensation is in line with other utilities in the area. Other officer or key employee compensation Part VI line 15b The Corporation has a total of 10 employees. They consist of the General Manager and three office personnel and six outside employees who maintain the water system and do small improvement projects. The Corporation has a small number of employees non of whom would be considered and officer or key employee. Their compensation would generally be determined by the compensation other people in the community would receive for doing similar work. Governing documents etc available to public Part VI line 19 The governing documents of Jones Water Supply Corp are available to the public to be viewed at the company office during regular office hours. In some instances copies of documents might be copied for the stockholder. Explanation of other changes in net assets or fund balances Part XI line 9 The Corporation requires each new customer to put up a deposit. This deposit is treated as contribution to the Corporations capital. When the customer ceases to be a customer of the Corporation the deposit is refunded if a amounts owed are paid. If the customer leaves owing a water bill the deposit is used to pay any amount owed to the Corporation.
