These events were crucial as some community members were going days without access to proper nutrition. Our efforts aimed to provide essential meals and support to alleviate hunger within the deaf community in these regions. 1000 Our CEO distributed 50 pounds of essential school supplies to support the Deaf School of Neyba. This direct contribution ensured that two classrooms at the school were fully equipped for the entire 2025-2026 academic year. This initiative not only provided tangible support but also enhanced the learning environment for deaf students in a significant and meaningful way. In-kind goods contributions from Central UMC members were given to make this happen. 815 Our organization conducted a fundraiser to acquire 27 light flashing doorbells for deaf community members in Neyba Dajabon and Mao Dominican Republic. Additionally we received one in-kind donation of a light flashing doorbell bringing the total to 28. The total cost of 526 covered the purchase and installation of these essential devices. These doorbells play a crucial role in empowering deaf individuals by providing them with independence and a means to be alerted in their homes enhancing their safety and quality of life. 526 In Dajabon Dominican Republic our nonprofit provided two pairs of shoes and two packages of socks to support two deaf individuals. This assistance was crucial as one of the recipients did not possess any footwear or socks. The deaf communities experience severe food insecurities and some individuals go days without food. If a child does not have food it makes it difficult to achieve and focus in school. 1(b) ALL 411 dollars received in charitable contributions was added to the 681 dollars in 1a to equal 1000 dollars to provide nutritional support that is so necessary to sustain life in the Dominican Republic. Part of these funds paid for a fieldtrip and transportation fee to a waterfall and science lesson on the water cycle. 1(c) ALL 497 dollars purchased 27 Light Flashing Doorbells for deaf individuals in the rural communities of Neyba Dajabon and Mao in the Dominican Republic. This is an on-going program for CCWS and it provides independence and privacy. The deaf person will not have to rely on their hearing children all the time. These doorbells truly enhance their lives and meet our purpose to provide equal access to communication. 1(d) ALL 1097 dollars of In-Kind goods contributions were directly distributed to the deaf in Neyba Dajabon and Mao in the Dominican Republic except 84 dollars which were In-Kind supplies for Taco Fundraiser #2. 815 dollars FMV of school supplies 50 pounds worth supplies two classrooms for the 2025-2026 school year. This greatly enhanced the learning process. Shoes and socks were provided to two deaf individuals one who had no shoes and socks at all! The shoes and sock impacted their physical health and provided protection. One more Light Flashing Doorbell was an In-Kind goods contribution. What you cannot put a dollar amount on is the passion our CEO has for teaching Dominican Sign Language to hearing parents with deaf children who have no way to communicate with each other or learn DSL. She trains and provides some lesson plans to the teachers at the Deaf School in Neyba.
