We seek advocates whose identity mirrors the children we service, in order to provide informed, quality advocacy in the courtroom and in the community. 0 0 463178 0 0 In Fiscal Year 2025, CASA of McLennan County provided trained volunteer advocacy services for children involved in the child welfare system due to abuse or neglect. The organization served 203 children and supported 85 CASA volunteers who advocated for children's best interests in court and the community. Services included volunteer advocacy, court reporting, case monitoring, child visitation, collaboration with service providers, and permanency-focused recommendations. Program accomplishments included increasing advocate retention from 30% of the total kids in foster care to 40% of the total kids in foster care by the end of the fiscal year. The program staff found stability, and new positions were added in order to maintain healthy growth. At no time did she serve concurrently as a member of the Board of Directors and as a compensated employee.
