The tax-exempt purpose of the Credit Union and the nature in which it operates is described in the first paragraph of Note 1. Management believes the Credit Union continues to operate in compliance with its tax-exempt purpose. The Credit Union had no unrelated business income in 2025 or 2024 that management believes is subject to taxation. The Credit Union's annual information returns filed with the Internal Revenue Service are open to examination for generally three years after filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 Membership in the Credit Union is open to all people living and working in the Kankakee County area. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a Members of the Credit Union elect the Board of Directors. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The Form 990 and related schedules was reviewed and approved by the President and Manager of the Credit Union prior to filing. The 990 was also provided to the Board of Directors prior to filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15a Compensation for the President/Manager of the Credit Union is determined by the Board of Directors on an annual basis. The Board considers performance of the Credit Union, inflation, longevity, and overall performance of the President/Manager in determining compensation. Deliberation and decisions are contemporaneously documented in the Board minutes.
