Harvesters Theological College located in Ponnai outside of Vellore South India is now in its 22st year of existence for the training of national pastors and others. All expenses are paid by GHI for students plus a small stipend for couples who also work on the weekends in village ministry and Bible Studies. Grants were given to needy families for food and shelter through our workers there. After the Tsunami hit in December 2004 in India, we established The Fathers Home orphanage in February of 2005 at Ponnai outside Vellore, South India to take cae of displaced and homeless children. We are in our 21st year of supporting 35 to 45 children and the men and women who care for them. In South Asia we operate a Bible College and an orphanage with 35-45 children. Budgets are prepared for the needed items for both entities and monthly reports are given. Books are kept on workers needed for the care of the orphans as well as the supplies needed for the upkeep of the grounds and buildings housing the children and the Bible College students. Educational funds are provided and vehicles to transport the children to and from their schools drivers are needed and they are budgeted into our grants. In India, we have accountant who keeps track of the payments to individual workers and he is a paid contractor as well. Some of the grants are used for building projects for churches, dorms etc. They are usually for a specific need and at the completion of that building project, we receive notificaton and pictures of what is being done along with receipts. In India, grants are given to individual pastors who work in the churches in small villages that have been started by the work of Gospel Harvesters GHI. These small monthly stipends are handled by our director who gives monthly reports on the progress. Grants are given to those who work in the school ministries and village ministries, Bible Conferences and Bible studies. We also visit the places of our work on a regular basis to take part in the activites and see the progress of each area in monthly reports - site visits - picture of completed work and accounting reports. We have daily conversations throug messaging.
