The increase in income is from that grant. This grant has paid for exhibit cases, furniture, equipment, and building improvements to support museum operations and exhibits. Schedule A, Part I, Line 5 The Champaign County Historical Society operates a museum in cooperation with the Champaign County Commissioners office, in that the property is leased to CCHS for $1.00/year, but support includes: property maintenance, landscape care, and most utility cost. Most of these items have been donated to the society for preservation, and the few purchases of items are not of high monetary value. Schedule D, Part III, Line 4 The purpose of the Champaign County Historical Society is to collect and exhibit items to tell the stories of the lives of the people who inhabit Champaign County, Ohio. Most of the stories are local, but a few spread to state-wide, national, or international reaches. The items are exhibited in the museum for public use, and documents are stored for public use. All in the effort to educate people about the history of the local area.
