TMG is a professional managment company which manage all aspects of the council in accordance with the councils bylaws and policies. Operations may include, but are not limited to Administration, membership, finance and accounting, conference/meeting planning, education, marketing and informational technologies Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The council has five categories of membership Instituional, community college district office or consortial office, associate, corporate and lifetime. Instituional and community college district office/consortia office members are entitled to vote on all matters coming before the membership, while associate, corporate and lifetime members have no voting rights Form 990, Part VII, Section A, Line 7a Members of the councils governing body are elected by the voting memebers of the council after nomination by the nominating committee. Form 990, Part VII, Section A, Line 7b The bylaws may be amended as presentedd by the board of directors by an affimative vote of two-thirds of those coucnil members who return their ballots to the councils office. In addition, coucil members can call a referendum to amend the bylaws by submitting a petition signed by 33 percent of the membership to the executive director Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The councils Form 990 is prepared by a certified public accountant and submitted to the councils management company for review. The form is then submitted to the executive director, treasurer, chair, past chair and chair elect for review and discussion prior to filing Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The councils directors are required to sign a conflict of interest statement at the beginning of their terms and reminded to disclose any conflicts of interest as they might arise.
