Furthermore the governing body represented by Post members participates in voting on a range of policy issues to uphold transparency and promote a democratic decision-making process within the organization. Part VI, Line 6 Our members are those who joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars and are elected to become members of this Post. Part VI, Line 7a Members are charted to vote on monetary expenditures and annually vote for the governing body of the Post per the mandates of the National VFW. . Part VI, Line 7b Monetary expendutures are per vote of the membership at a regularly scheduled business meeting or special meeting called for the stated purpose. Part VI, Line 11a Provide annual briefing to all members present concerning matters of financial status etc. and for those in the governing body they receive the Form 990 for review prior to submittal. Part VI, Line 12c In accordance with our organizations policies it is mandatory for members participating in meetings where financial decisions are made to openly disclose any potential personal benefits they may receive as a result of the proposed expenditures.
