The endowment is to allow the Society to be largely self-sustaining, and assist the organization in (a) underwriting the support of major works requiring large orchestras and performance venues; (b) reaching out to and educating segments of the community who have not heard these works; (c) ensuring the selection of the highest quality soloists to perform with the Society; (d) continuing a program supporting young artists who aspire to a performing career, giving them an opportunity to perform great music; and (e) keeping ticket prices to a minimum, allowing the widest possible range of citizens to attend and enjoy.
