Part VI, Line 12c As per the Organization's conflict of interest policy, each member of the Board of Directors must submit a completed Conflict of Interest Form on an annual basis. This process is designed to provide the Board with current information on any actual or potential conflicts that may have developed over the past year. Part VI, Line 15a The process for determining the CEO/Executive Director's (for Elite Academy) compensation involves an independent body (such as a Non-Profit Consulting Firm) reviewing comparability data, such as data from peer organizations and independent compensation studies, to ensure the proposed pay is reasonable. The Consultants will make a recommendation for the full board's approval, and its deliberations and decisions are contemporaneously documented, which often includes information on conflicts of interest and other specific data considered. Part VI, Line 15b As stated for the CEO/Executive Director, the Non-Profit Consulting Firm will provide the same information and recommendations for Key Employees of Thrive Community Enrichment & Development Corporation/Elite Academy. Therefore, this return is being submitted as a "SHORT PERIOD 990 RETURN" - TO COVER JANUARY 1 - JUNE 30, 2025, to automatically change our accounting period to a FISCAL YEAR ACCOUNTING PERIOD. We had originally sent our electronic submission on November 17th; however, it was returned to us the following day for corrections. (Note: The Thrive Community Enrichment & Development Corporation had already filed for the calendar year of 2024 (January thru December). However, we were instructed to file again as a "Short Period", ending in 06/30/2025 in order to change to a fiscal year to accommodate requirements for Federal & State funding & align with our school calendar.
