These group programs focus on helping teens face challenges in their lives, building healthy relationships, and learning constructive ways to handle the struggles and challenges of being an adolescent. Form 990, Part III, Section N/A, Line 4a The second type of programming is support group gatherings. These meeting are specifically designed to address the emotional and mental health of the teens involved. Groups of teens meet, led by trained staff and volunteers, to encourage each other as they give and receive support from their peers and leaders. These groups occur on site at local schools, as well as at other locations throughout the community. All of these activities are specifically designed to provide the youth with safe and fun opportunities to meet challenges, as well as develop interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. In person connections between staff and youth help attain all of the goals set forth by the organization. These connections provide accountability for reducing at-risk behaviors, they model what it looks like to have healthy relationships with God, self, and others, and they provide a foundation for teens to develop their self-worth and confidence in their own abilities.
