Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a Annual meeting are held once during the fiscal year. Every second year, the Annual Meeting will vote on a slate of Officers to fill positions on the Executive Committee for the following two years A simple majority of paid members present and voting shall consittue a quorum for the conduct of business and election of officers. Membership is open to any person interested and current for dues which are paid by June first of each year. Governing body decisions Part VI line 7b By a simple majority, members may approve the conduct of the organizations business. Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 One Co Treasurer gathered data for filing the information on fundraising, and the other Co Treasurer prepared a draft Form 990 which was submitted to the Organizations CPA to prepare the return for filing. This return was provided to the Board for review. Governing documents etc available to public Part VI line 19 The Organizations documents are available to the public upon request. Part III response or note to any other line in Part III The fiscal year ended October 31, 2024, was a return to normality with respect to the programs offered. The Organization was able to give funding to the Town of Narragansett to satisfy the long term goal of the Organization to build a new library to replace the old one. Part VI response or note to any other line in Part VI The Board of Directors is currently comprised of 8 people. There are about 50 people who regularly attend meetings and can vote on agenda items. The meeting minutes, including decisions, are emailed to all attendees for corrections and edits and are approved or rejected at the next meeting and filed. There is an annual meeting held every year. There is an election of officers every two years. Raffles were part of the fundraising, and all prizes were donated to the Organization. Part VIII response or note to any line in Part VIII Significant funds were raised through an appeal for the new library and for the addition of a WiFi Terrace to be built in the future. Part IX response or note to any line in Part IX All members are volunteers. There is no compensation paid to anyone.
