The Boston Surgical Society Incorporated changed their reporting period from July 1st 2024 - June 30th 2024 to an October- September reporting period last year. When I spoke to the IRS in January of 2025 to help with this filing, I was informed that our change was being put back to July to June time period and thus was not aware this was due at this time. The Boston Surgical Society is a 501c(6) organization that meets five times a year for a dinner with an educational speaker. We do not even cover our costs of the dinners with the dues.
