We provide advocacy and support for adult 18+ survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation across the state of CT and surrounding areas of New England. We received 26 referrals; 20 individuals participated in AMP 2024 receiving over 470 hours of mentoring. 12 persons were assisted with emergency housing and independent living expenses. 140 nights of emergency housing. 12 men and women were assisted in exiting exploitative environments. Cash assistance is not provided directly to clients. Our program model consists of a four phase care model with varying degrees of assistance as a client progresses throughout the program. The program is designed to help clients exit exploitative environments emergency care then transition to short term housing then a focus on stabilization with an ultimate transition to independent living. Along this journey the organization assisted 20 clients in 2024 by paying housing vendors directly on the clients behalf meeting medical needs providing basic household needs and arranging transportation. Part III, line 3 In the latter part of 2023 it was decided that the Mentor Program required restructuring to ensure long-term benefits for survivors. The Mentorship program was temporarily halted in September 2023 and officially resumed in May 2024 with full-time mentors and program staff. Part VI, Line 11a The Board Treasurer compiles the 990 and reviews with the Board and Executive Director prior to filing Part VI, Line 12c Board Members are required to annually sign the conflict of interest form and disclose any potential conflicts. Board members are also required to disclose any new potential conflicts at which point they arise outside of the annual attestation. Part VI, Line 15 The Board reviews and approves compensation for the executive director as well as the annual budget for compensation for all staff. The executive director can make staff compensation change decisions within budget without board approval.
