A conflict of interest policy was instituted and acknowledged upon addition of the executive director's spouse onto the board which call for the recusal of that board member on all matters up for discussion which involve the executive director, especially matters concerning pay, employment, and discipline. Part XII, Line 2c Information is compiled, reviewed, reported and audited by board members in a collaborative effort to ensure that accurate and transparent financial information is provided. With the addition of charitable bingo revenue (a new funding stream with which we we are unfamiliar tax-wise), our Board worked to get onboarded for months with a professional accountant who ultimately did not move forward with us as a nonprofit client. Our CEO/Executive Director and Treasurer have worked to gather the accounting documentation from the new charitable bingo program and are only recently capable of filing to account for said bingo funding. Next year we will know how to handle charitable bingo having completed the reporting and 990 for 2024 now.
